Quimialmel Químicos e Minerais, L.D.A., located in Albergaria-a-Velha (Portugal), was the first subsidiary opened by Quimialmel Grupo in 1993. Over time it has become a mentor in the commercialization of raw materials. This has led the subsidiary to orientate its activity towards a new business sector based on the management of residues, where Quimialmel Recycling has been set up.

In 1998, Quimialmel Grupo opens its second subsidiary in Europe and Quimialmel Italia, S.p.A. a socio unico, located in Fiorano Modenese (Italy), is born. This new subsidiary aims to penetrate the Italian ceramics market, where Italy has always represented one of the biggest European markets. Thanks to Quimialmel Grupo‘s support, the Italian subsidiary has also reached an important position in some other markets such as the rubber, plastics, coatings and construction sectors.

In 2001, a new subsidiary is opened in the North of Africa, Quimialmel Maroc, S.A.R.L. Its geographical and strategic location makes it possible to open new markets and establish new business relationships in other countries.

Its growth is so spectacular in the detergency, painting, ceramics and agriculture segments, that in 2011 Quimialmel Maroc extends its logistics facilities located in the port area of Casablanca.

Quimialmel Grupo starts its business adventure in the South American market, opening a new delegation in 2006, Quimialmel Chile, S.p.A.

Since the very beginning, the Chilean subsidiary, which is found in Santiago de Chile, has focused on the commercialization of raw materials intended for the manufacturing of ceramics and glass, as well as decorative ceramics, floor covering, sanitary, manufacturing and pigmentation of bottles and even cosmetic glass.

Some other important sectors where Quimialmel Chile has undergone a considerable growth are food, building, textile, plastics, coatings and mining.

It was born in 2011 and it is located in México D.F. The subsidiary has orientated its business to the commercialization of products for the ceramics, textile, construction and coatings industries. At present, its storages are located in Cuatitlan (México D.F.), Hermosillo, Monterrey and Mérida.

In 2014, Quimialmel Colombia, S.A.S. is born and a new market is therefore established in Latin America. This new subsidiary aims to transfer the experience, knowledge and the products that are already being sent in other countries onto the Colombian market. The main offices are located in Bogotá, whereas warehouses are found in Medellín, Cali and Cartagena, with the objective of assisting the national Colombian market better.
